NEW OCRP (OAKLAND COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY) LEADERSHIP

Thanks to Deb O'Hagan for her detailed accounting about our new county leadership.

The Oakland County Executive Committee met last night and elected new officers.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEW Oakland County Republican Party officers!

Chair: Jim Thienel
Vice Chair: Angela Rivers
Secretary: Lauren Gervason
Treasurer: David Staudt

What a great team in place to move us forward and prepare for 2012!

Jim’s multi-million dollar entrepreneurial business experience, vast knowledge of the party and people involved, his involvement in growing NORC to become the largest republican club in MI, and his tremendous behind the scenes efforts supporting successful candidates, certainly gives him the ability to lead us forward!

Angela’s marketing and image building background will help put a positive and strong face on our party! Her own campaign experience gives her first hand knowledge of what it takes to recruit and elect conservative candidates!

Lauren’s long and successful record of fundraising for candidates such as Mitt Romney, Joe Knollenberg, and most recently Rick Snyder will help bring in much needed funds for our county party to win in 2012. She is a graduate of U of D law school and has worked for the OCRP in finance and fundraising prior to the Snyder campaign!

David’s experience as our current treasurer ensures financial continuity at a critical time! He is also committed to upgrading the OCRP web presence and making it the number one webpage in the country! This is key to opening up the lines of communication between all of us!

The new OCRP leadership stressed the importance of working together, providing transparency, building the grassroots, and welcoming the tea party efforts and ideas. They have an open door policy to each and every one of us. As Jim said last night, ‘don’t talk about me, talk to me’. He also said ‘ I have always let people know what I like and dislike and expect the same from all of you’. And if you know Jim, he couldn’t have said it any better and meant it more J.

I hope you are as excited as I am and are ready to work with and become an active part of the team. They will need our support in terms of manpower, ideas, and finances. It’s up to us to make sure they get it so OCRP is successful in 2012 and beyond!

SHAMEFUL DETROIT AIRPORT HUMILIATION - ALL BECAUSE OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS

I  have written before about the TSA (Thousands Standing Around) and their unfair and unjustified abuse of passengers.   http://mymichtaxparty.blogspot.com/2010/11/tsa-thousands-standing-around.html
But after reading about this gentleman that has a urostomy bag and was humiliated to such a degree,  I now think we need to seriously take a stand on this.  Enough is enough.

This month Transportation Security Administration agents hauled aside a white, 61-year-old retired Lansing special ed schoolteacher bound for Orlando from Metro Detroit airport and — in a rough pat-down — broke the bladder cancer survivor's urostomy bag.

"I am a good American and I want safety for all passengers as much as the next person," Sawyer told MSNBC. "But if this country is going to sacrifice treating people like human beings in the name of safety, then we have already lost the war."

WHO ARE WE GIVING THANKS TO ON THANKSGIVING

My previous post on the Marion High controversy could further tie in with today's post.  Thanks to Nolan Finley, Detroit News, who said this:

Editing God out of history distorts truth:

Ask any grade school kid who the Pilgrims were giving thanks to on the first Thanksgiving and I'll lay you three-to-one odds that the answer you get is, "the Indians." Public education is so obsessed with separation and so uncomfortable with discussions of religion that it has sanitized the unbreakable link between faith and America's founding. Now children are taught that the Pilgrims set the first Thanksgiving dinner for the Native Americans who helped keep them alive during their first harsh year in the New World.

This is more than just a small distortion in the name of political correctness. And it's not one of those Merry Christmas versus Happy Holidays issues. Whether you're a believer or non-believer, you should be concerned that God is being written out of this nation's history because doing so will limit our understanding of who we are as a people.

A H/T to A Conservative Teacher for the following blog expanding on Finley's thoughts:
http://aconservativeteacher.blogspot.com/2010/11/who-is-your-sovereign.html

Happy Thanksgiving to all that read this.  I personally have a lot to be grateful for, especially my many online friends and patriots.

SOCIAL JUSTICE AT MARION HIGH SCHOOL

We have all been made aware of the creeping social justice or socialism introduction into our public schools. I will never forget the video about kindergartners praising Obama.  We should all check out our children's books they bring home, especially those dealing with social studies or history.  It is a well known fact that many of those books are being altered and no longer teach the "real" history.

Now it has come to my attention via email from a fellow patriot friend that one of our local parochial schools, Marion High, is now being indoctrinated as well with social justice.  Parents need to be made aware of that, especially if they have not been informed of those programs being launched in their school.

The following is an excerpt of what one mother of a Marion student wrote:

"..... A couple of you already have your girls there and you may have heard about the "assembly" on Tuesday. Your daughters may or may not have told you about the assembly. You may or may not find it and it's contents offensive. To sum it up, I have never felt more outraged and undermined since my children began school. I am pleading with you and your fellow alums, if what I relay does not represent the Marian that formed you and that you so dearly love and want to embrace for your daughters, to complain to the administration over what is going on.

In short, an assembly took place without parents' knowledge or permission which included "Bishop" Gumbleton, another priest who shared his views, and several "nuns" of the same ilk. The panel went on to preach to the kids for 90 minutes about the importance of "social justice", while reminding the kids that they are the future leaders of our society. (hint, hint, half of you will be voting in two years) Many of you probably know that the term "social justice" has been co-opted in the past several decades and it is a buzz word for socialism. The children were told they are not good Catholics if :

*they do not support socialized medicine
*they do not support all immigration. (there should be no such thing as illegal immigration)
*they do not accept that Jesus' teachings tell us that everyone should live equally, not just equal opportunity (socialism)
*they do not accept that people from all life styles should be respected. (gay rights)
*they did not support the programs that are being offered to save the earth (hmmm, cap and trade??)

They went on to demonize Glenn Beck and upheld MICHAEL MOORE (with a huge picture displayed) as some sort of person to be emulated. "Bishop" Gumbleton went on to say that he is called a communist, and that's okay with him because he knows that it means he is doing good work.

My daughter, who has a wellformed conscience and has been brought up in an orthodox, Catholic home was physically shaking she was so upset, as were several of her friends. One courageous teacher left in disgust.

Dana has endured four years of being chastised by teachers and teens alike for speaking against abortion and speaking out against President Obama's policy on abortion. Her current teacher has a large poster representing a group that is attempting to get school sanctioned permission to be formed. It is a large picture of a rainbow, it will be called the diversity group, and its intention is to support girls who are confused about their sexual identity. While this hasn't been sanctioned, YET, the teacher is all for it.

This is just a taste of what our $ has paid for. If you think there was nothing wrong with the messages imparted at the meeting were okay, then I accept your opinion and hope you can respect mine. If you find it wrong, please speak out to Sr. Lenore and let her know her brand of Catholicism is not what you are signing up for.

I am meeting with Sr. Lenore on Monday to go express my outrage and suggest one more assemly before we let these impressionable ladies out into the college world. I am suggesting my favorite, concervative priest, Fr. Riccardo, Holy Name Alum and maybe a video from my favorite internationally respected, speaker/preacher Fr. John Corapi. (Fr. Corapi - google him if you don't know him- is the first person of the cloth to warn me and others to RUN from any church that begins preaching social justice) I'm sure it'll fall on death ears and the only thing that gets attention is money. Some outraged parents are considering meeting next week to see how we can best handle this.

Thank you for your time. I encourage you to forward this to as many people that may want to know what is going on at Marian, especially those who are contemplating entrusting their children to the school."

If  this last election has not yet left an impression on our teachers and union officials then it only tells me that the battle has just begun and we cannot sit idle and let this continue.  We all know what we have to do.

GARY PETERS - COMING TO A BALLOT NEAR YOU ?

The election is barely over and already speculations are surfacing what is going to happen next.  I was appalled but not surprised to read in one blog that there would be a good chance for Gary Peters running for Senate or even Governor in 2014.  Can you imagine having a male version of Granholm all over again?

http://scottyurb.blogspot.com/2010/11/coming-soon-to-ballot-near-you-part-i.html

Below is in short the possible forecast for Gary Peters.

Congressman Gary Peters originally sought to be Governor during the 2002 campaign, but dropped out because he diodn't have nearly enough support. He narrowly lost the race for Attorney General that year - the first Democrat to lose a race for that office in 50 years.

Gary Peters and Hansen Clarke: Re-election in 2012, then in 2014, one can run for Governor while the other runs for US Senate. (I'd be shocked if Carl Levin ran for another term in 2014.)

Looks to me, the battle will continue.  I am still Gary Peters' nightmare.

Gary Peters' disregard for our Veterans - Salvation Army coming to the Rescue

Back in July, Gary Peters and his "new Dem" cohorts pretended to become our deficit hawks.  One of the many items Peters wanted to cut were 22 Million for disabled  Veteran's housing. Read below:

Peters and three other Dems got major heat for trying to cut more than $1 billion in spending that was added to the fiscal year 2011 budget because House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and other Dem leaders had asked for deficit-reducing trims on the budget.

And all of the spending they were targeting wasn't requested by the White House; instead, it was spending added on at the request of Democrats during the appropriations process. According to The Hill, the cuts included "... $400 million for national infrastructure investment; $400 million for high speed rail development; $200 million in HOPE IV housing grants; and $22 million for housing assistance vouchers for disabled
veterans."

From The Detroit News: http://apps.detnews.com/apps/blogs/dcblog/index.php?category=Michigan%20and%20Washington#ixzz150gCcsvh

In contrast, the Salvation Army is now coming to the aid of homeless veterans by breaking ground in the spring to provide housing to homeless veterans. The need for transitional housing is on the rise and the Salvation Army is investing $ 10.2 Million in Clinton Twn and Detroit. http://www.crainsdetroit.com/article/20101111/SUB/311119995

On  this Veterans Day, thank our current and past Military and thank the Salvation Army for caring and helping.  Gary Peters certainly didn't think much of our Vets.

UNION'S INFLUENCE ON ELECTION RESULTS

Michigan turned Red, this is good news for all of us. But there were pockets where good conservative candidates lost their race. Kupiec in MI 5th, Flint area is one of them.  I've been informed by a poll worker there that voters came in asking for help how to vote. After an explanation was given, they would answer, that's not what we were told. They told us just to mark an X on the Democratic side.  After looking at the election results in Oakland County, I noticed that in some pockets, especially the Pontiac precincts, the vast majority of voters were also using the straight ticket method, that is without considering the unusual large amount of voters that came out in Pontiac. Who woke them up?  Where did they really come from?

Just now I received information about some possible voter fraud having taken place in some Waterford precincts. This is part of the information I received, somewhat modified.

"He was a poll watcher in Waterford and said there was fraud going on. He said that there were two precincts in a gym. He was watching 15 which was by the door and a Dem was watching (or running) 13 which was at the other end of the gym. People were coming in with SC drivers licenses and saying they had moved to MI. They were giving addresses that would put them in precinct 13. The person there was allowing them to vote with a "Challenge" written on the ballot, but was then just running the ballots through with all of the good ones.

He said,  when he got there for the afternoon, no one had been watching the polls earlier. He said one of the poll watchers from a Tea Party , left in tears at some point in the afternoon; someone had threatened to call 911, I guess, when she was challenging things. He called the Republican help number and twice attorneys came in. I don't know what they did. My friend wanted to go to the clerk's office but didn't go when he heard that the clerk was a liberal Dem. If all of this was really happening, I don't know WHY something wasn't being done about it at the time."

If anyone has more info on these incidents, please post it here. We all need to learn and know what is going on.

With all the so-called training Poll watchers have received, this is troubling to me and seems it is an issue we all need to continue to work on.  We can work all we want to help get a candidate elected, but large amounts of voter fraud will turn against us.

The democratic machine targeted certain candidates, especially those that had to win questionable cities like Pontiac or Royal Oak, Flint where they find willing voters to do what they are told.  We have 24 months to learn our lesson.

SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE

As I am still recuperating from last night's exceptional loss, I have been pondering also why. A friend forward the follong stats to me and it is clear something is out of kilter with this picture.  There is nothing I can do about it, but think you will find it interesting as well. The following is a response to an Oakland Press article: http://www.theoaklandpress.com/articles/2010/11/03/opinion/doc4cd1ae92f412b787973431.txt?viewmode=default

Rocky won the following cities by the following percentages:

Bloomfield, 57.5%

Oakland, 69%

Orion, 59.5%

Waterford, 52.4%

Southfield, 51.6%

Birmingham, 54.6%

Bloomfield Hills, 63.9%

Lake Angelus, 82.5%

Orchard Lake, 65.5%

Rochester, 58.1%

Rochester Hills, 57.2%

Sylvan Lake, 53.7%

Troy, 54.5%

He is not representing the interests of those communities.

Rocky won more precincts around the district than did Gary Peters.

Gary Peters represents Pontiac, where he won by 87.6%, and had 7500 more votes.

You take that one city out of the mix, and Rocky wins.

And while it’s great that Peters wants to encourage small businesses to take on more debt, some of us would prefer to that he instead back off on the spending and stop incurring debt on our behalf.

While the Oakland Press might believe that “memories are short” on the stimulus, perhaps they might consider how many decades – perhaps even generations – it will take to pay off that debt, or how many years will see our budgets be constrained because of the interest payments.

This is not “sour grapes” Peters campaign – while victorious – was dirty. Had he won by campaigning on any of the issues you listed here, then perhaps you might have a point. But he didn’t; he instead resorted to mudslinging and fearmongering. He should be ashamed of his ill-gotten victory.

GARY PETERS IMPLICATED IN EXPOSE
BY PULITZER PRIZE WINNING NEWS GROUP

Despite His Mega-million-dollar ad campaign to the contrary, Gary Peters is not as he seems. In his bid to hold on to his first-term congressional seat in a race that’s been handicapped as one of the closest, most competitive in the nation, Mr. Peters is projecting himself to be the champion of Main Street and the tough watchdog protecting our interests against big banks, Wall Street and other assorted “sinister” outside influences.

But Mr. Peters is not as chaste as he would have you believe. Just in time for Halloween comes an expose (http://www.propublica.org/article/new-democrat-coalition) from the Pulitzer Prize-winning news organization, ProPublica that is ripping off his masquerade as the guardian of mainstream America against the excesses of greedy banks, Wall Street, Big Pharma and special interests.

ProPublica published a blockbuster investigation of the 69 New Democrats, of which Peters is a member. The expose documents how the New Democrats have raked in millions from the very same “fat cat” lobbyists they decry in public and how they have wielded their congressional clout as payback, weakening important financial and consumer reforms.

“In the past year and a half, New Democrats have pulled in more than $18 million in campaign contributions from their lobbyist fundraising network. The lobbyists, in turn, have mingled with lawmakers and their staffers at least 850 times during fundraising events and informal get-togethers,” ProPublica reports. In the past two years, since the start of the 2008 election cycle, the financial industry has donated $24.9 million to members of the New Democrats, according to a Business Week profile of the New Democrats. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34644156/ns/business-businessweekcom//.

Peters himself has profited handsomely from his membership in the New Democrats, pulling in close to half of his PAC donations (from 1/1/2009 through 09/30/2010) from interests which also donated to the New Democrats. Peters and his New Democrat colleagues refused to be interviewed for the story, the reporters note.

At the bidding of these special interests, according to the articles, the members of the New Democrats Coalition, several of whom, like Gary Peters, sit on the House Financial Services Committee, have watered down financial regulatory reform, fought to ensure that banks receiving TARP money didn’t have to trim executive bonuses and helped block a proposal to allow bankruptcy judges to adjust home mortgages — a move many experts say could have mitigated the wave of foreclosures. Records show The National Association of Realtors PAC donated more than $403,000 to the New Democrats according to ProPublica.

The New Democrats tapped Peters because he had the perfect resume, having made his living as a Wall Street insider with 23 years combined experience as an executive at Merrill Lynch and Paine Webber. But nowhere is this background to be found in Peters’ ads or on his campaign website where his focus paradoxically is “cracking down on Wall Street.”

Peters was also named as one of three House conferees selected to hammer out the final financial reform bill while the leadership of the New Democrats “worked behind the scenes to make sure the interests of the New Democrats and their allies were represented” ProPublica reported.

Both the ProPublica and Business Week accounts chronicle how the New Democrats also played a decisive role during the healthcare reform debate, delivering a win for Big Pharma and biotechnologies on a class of medicines called biologics used to treat cancer, anemia and arthritis. At stake was the period of patent protection during which cheaper generics would be prevented from competing. The biologics industry wanted to keep the patent window at 12 years; the Administration pressed for seven years following a Federal Trade Commission report concluding that the 12-year monopoly was “too long.” Ultimately, the New Democrats threw their “full weight” lobbying their party leadership and prevailed for Big Pharma, sliding through the 12-year patent protection.

The New Dems were also instrumental in shaping regulations for over-the-counter derivatives, the largely unregulated, complex financial products that were at the epicenter of the global financial meltdown. According to the Business Week report, a full-court press by the major investment banks and a consortium of businesses leaned hard on the New Democrats to ease up on the Administration’s insistence that derivates be moved to regulated trading platforms to prevent “reckless behavior on Wall Street.” The recommendations advanced by the New Dems “created a loophole that would allow risky and unregulated derivates trading” the head of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission warned, ProPublica reported.

Despite pitched back-room dealing, the New Dems’ derivatives exemptions were scrapped in House/Senate conference. And while the New Dems didn’t produce for Wall Street as it had hoped on this particular issue, “the group helped make the overall bill more palatable to the financial industry by forcing concessions on multiple fronts,” ProPublica reports.

So, even though the New Democrats — including Gary Peters — “helped block or water down measures proposed by the White House and Democratic leaders, many of its members are receiving cash infusions and strong support from party institutions like the DCCC,” ProPublica explains. It’s no wonder that the DCCC has just dumped $497,000 in last minute advertising buys for Peters, making him among the top 10 recipients of the DCCC’s 11th-hour giving.

It is troubling indeed that Peters, who portrays himself as a crusader for “Main Street” against the excesses of “Wall Street” is himself compromised by these apparent conflicts of interest, as exposed by ProPublica. Mr. Peters needs to come clean to his constituency immediately about his role in the New Democrats bloc.

BREAKING NEWS FROM ROCKY

"Just got off the phone with Charlie Crumm from the Oakland Press. I am humbled and honored that the Libertarian candidate for the Michigan Ninth Congressional District, Adam Goodman, has officially dropped out of the race and has endorsed our campaign. Adam will be a valuable voice in our effort to get America back on track after we win on Tuesday."

Below is an article to compliment this and also an opportunity to read the green with envy comment by Dan Farough, Peters' campaign handler. I always call him a handler, he is not what I would call a manager.  A manager would never act that slimy.

PRESS RELEASE: MOVING AMERICA FORWARD ENDORSES ROCKY RACZKOWSKI

34122 Woodward Ave. Birmingham, MI 48009 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, October 14, 2010 CONTACT: Susan Emfinger, 248-556-4400 susane@rockyworksforus.com

NATION’S LARGEST PRO-TROOP GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATION TO ENDORSE ROCKY RACZKOWSKI AT RALLY THIS SATURDAY (Birmingham, MI) –
Move America Forward, the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization, will lend the endorsement of its Freedom PAC to 9th Congressional Candidate Rocky Raczkowski this Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m. at a troop salute and veterans/military family rally at Shiawassee Park in Farmington, Mich.

"As a soldier, I am honored to have the endorsement of Move America Forward, whose mission work on behalf of our troops is near and dear to my heart," stated Rocky. "I know firsthand how much it means when serving overseas and in hostile terrain to receive a care package, an encouraging note and the warm gratitude of pro-troop outfits exemplified by Move America Forward."
The primary focus of the Move America Forward PAC is to help war veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan who are running for Congress and/or those candidates who will strongly support America’s troops before Congress, especially when it comes to winning the war against Al Qaeda and its allies. The organization also advocates for the elimination of excessive rules of engagement, which constrain our military and put them at an unfair advantage and expose them to greater risk in fighting the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
Rocky, the Republican seeking to unseat freshman Democrat Gary Peters, enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves at the age of 17. His 24 year military career includes two tours in the War on Terror, most recently in the Horn of Africa. Rocky was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service during combat operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Slated to appear at the rally are former U.S. Navy SEAL Ben Smith who served in Iraq from 2000 – 2005, and Gold Star Mom Debbie Lee, whose son, Marc, was the first Navy SEAL to be killed in Iraq and who was awarded a Silver Star for valor, posthumously.

ROCKY RACZKOWSKI REACHES YOUNG GUNS CONTENDER STATUS

Michigan Republican Takes Critical Second Step in ‘Young Guns’ Program

Washington- The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced today that Republican Andrew ‘Rocky’ Raczkowski (MI-09) has reached ‘Contender’ status as part of its Young Guns program. ‘Contender’ status is the second step in the three-level program, with Raczkowski now facing a new set of benchmarks to reach ‘Young Gun’ status in his bid to unseat Democrat lapdog Gary Peters. Since being elected in 2008, Peters has eagerly rubber-stamped his party’s reckless agenda that includes a trillion-dollar stimulus, a job-killing cap-and-trade bill and a disastrous healthcare takeover.

Founded in the 2007-2008 election cycle by Reps. Eric Cantor (R-VA), Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Paul Ryan (R-WI), the Young Guns program is a member-driven organization dedicated to electing open-seat and challenger candidates nationwide. By achieving ‘Contender’ status, Raczkowski has already proven his ability to build a successful campaign structure and achieve vital fundraising goals.
“Rocky Raczkowski has already proven that he will be a formidable candidate by meeting the Young Guns program’s rigorous goals and is well on his way to building a winning campaign that will put this seat in the Republican column,” said NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX). “Rocky is part of a strong pool of candidates who are frustrated with the Democrat majority’s agenda of more spending and less jobs and aren’t willing to stand by any longer. His campaign has put Gary Peters on notice that Americans are ready to turn the page on the failed experiment known as the Obama-Pelosi agenda.”

With business, military, and community involvement serving as the cornerstones for his campaign, Andrew Raczkowski has the experience and enthusiasm needed to help carry his constituents’ interests to Washington. Elected in 1996 to the Michigan House of Representatives, Raczkowski soon climbed the ranks and in 1998, became the youngest Majority Floor Leader in the nation. Prior to his public service, he volunteered in the U.S. Army Reserves and has completed several military tours with his most recent one ending just over a year ago in September 2009. Raczkowski also has extensive business experience, as he is the former Chairman and CEO of Star Tickets, a Michigan corporation that employs many Michigan residents, and also serves with the Chamber of Commerce, Optimists, Jaycees, ALS of Michigan and many other civic and charitable organizations.

While already having achieved certain benchmarks to place him on the road to victory, Raczkowski now faces a new set of rigorous goals that will elevate him to the top level of the Young Guns program and help him build a competitive, effective and winning campaign.

ROCKY HAS THE "IT" FACTOR

Rocky Raczkowski has all the attributes from life, business, military and political experiences that qualify him to be my next  Congressman.  But the one specialty that sets him apart from his opponent Gary Peters is the “it” or electability factor. This is not something a person can learn, you are born with it. Watch him in a crowd or at a townhall how he reaches out to the voters.  Watch him at a parade how he criss-crosses the roads reaching out to the people.  He listens, he talks to them, and always answers phone calls or letters.  I’ve seen it with my own eyes, I’ve experienced it myself.  I feel ,he truly cares about us, the folks in his district, he cares about our State and he deeply cares about our Country.  When he says that he will work for us, I believe he literally means it.

THE DOWNSIDE OF GARY PETERS' SMALL BUSINESS JOBS ACT

The recently passed Small Business Jobs Act sponsored by Gary Peters is not all it's cracked up to be.  It is supposed to be designed to increase lending to small businesses and create incentives for small business investments. What I hear, however, is that most businesses do not want to have anything to do with the government.  What I hear from some banks is that they won't lend if they don't have the money themselves, they do not want borrowed government funds shoved down their throats.

Here is an excerpt of an email I received with a different take on this situation.

"Peters makes it sound like those d*** banks won't do their job and lend to small businesses. What's wrong with them? The banks (Wall Street) are the bad guys.

Now comes Gary Peters and his trusty companion Tonto to the rescue. By printing another $50 billion, and saying that this "extra" money can't be borrowed by the feds - there is now money that the government can FORCE the banks to lend to businesses.

The fallacy is that - if the feds were not borrowing every REAL dollar and every FIAT dollar in the economy - with their Stimulus spending, annual budget deficits, and bailouts of every nature - there WOULD ALREADY be funds available to lend.

In 20 months, Gary Peters aided and abetted the theft of more dollars from the American People than all the presidents from Washington through Reagan - COMBINED".

A story about what we have going on:

I've got a job that brings in money (taxes). I wish it was more since my wife (Congress) always spends a lot more than I bring home. I don't have the courage to get my wife to slow down her spending. Where would I have her cut? Everything is so important. Clothes, groceries, cable TV, hair styling, magazines, lawn service, Friday casino night, restaurants, ball game tickets, car repairs. The list never ends.

In the meantime, my kids (small businesses) are not eating a lunch at school. All our money is tied up in credit cards and debts. The kids are ornery, their teachers are complaining, and the pediatrician visits are more frequent. There's no money left to pay for lunches.

Who is the bad guy? My boss (the taxpayers). He's not paying me enough. If ONLY he would pay me more - and more - and more - I could fix everything. So I'll keep asking for raises and pad my expense reports more.

Finally, the school principal calls. "Your kids need lunch money. They are no longer studying (working) because they don't have any energy (jobs). They need lunch money (loans) to get energy (jobs, productivity) so they can study (do more business).

I respond, "Your cafeteria (the banks) should be giving them free lunches (private loans). I pay my school taxes - there should be plenty of money for the school cafeterias to do their job - give the kids lunches, like they were set up to do." The principal states that the taxes pay for teachers and school costs - not for lunches.

After weeks of unsuccessful pressuring of the school (banks, another bad guy) to give my kids free lunches, I steal (not REALLY my money) $100 from a co-worker's wallet and send it to the school to pay for a lunch card for my kids.

So one month later, my kids are eating lunches but still aren't working very hard. They are conserving their energy, because they don't know when the lunch money will run out. They won't go out for any sports (hiring) - sticking to the basics - too much risk of overextending their available energy (funds).

My boss (taxpayers) wants to fire me. He can't keep paying me more and he's tired of my constant harping for a raise. Also he's tired of the accountant telling him that he found something else funny with my expense reports.

But my wife keeps on spending. And I am still in denial that I am also spending, too.

If only the lunch money lasts until I hit my big score at the casino (November 2nd). Then everything will be great.

A reading from the Book of Peters, Chapter 1, verses 1 through 10. Therein endeth the lesson. Praise Be to Pelosi. Amen.

AFTERTHOUGHTS ABOUT THE RACZKOWSKI/PETERS DEBATE

After reading numerous reports from local papers, blogs, and on social networks, there is no need to detail the debate again.  Here are two of my favorite reports on the debate:

http://aconservativeteacher.blogspot.com/2010/09/9th-congressional-district-debate.html

http://detnews.com/article/20100928/MIVIEW/100928001/Debate--Rock--em--sock--em

Prior to the debate there was a rally outside with supporters from both sides in attendance. The Peters crowd ALL had the exact same sign, as all dems always do - no originality and which indicates to me that these folks are brought in and handed their signs. Maybe they are even paid to attend. Most of them were "kids", at most college freshmen. It was obvious the way they were jumping and dancing that they really didn't understand the seriousness in which they were getting themselves involved in.

In contrast, Rocky's crowd sported mostly mature adults, many with homemade signs, neatly dressed and respectfully cheering Rocky's name.  One slogan comes to mind that originated in Rocky's crowd:  Rocky works for us, Peters works for Pelosi.

The rain got worse and we ventured inside the auditorium and waited for the debate to begin.  The questioning panel were from the Oakland Press, namely Mr. Gilbert, Mr. Adler and a lady whose name I  don't remember.  This is where it became interesting. The moderator announced that the audience was allowed to applaud even before the debate was over.  The Peters crowd got loud, noisy and somewhat rowdy at times as a result of this. While Rocky's supporters were accused in the Newspapers of being loud and insulting, that is not true.

The questioning was biased at times, with Rocky getting 3/4 of the time to respond and he was often interrupted by both Gary Peters and the panel, always referring back to the frivolous lawsuit or other non-issue items.  At the same time, Rocky tried to get back to the issues at hand, trying to put Peters on the spot on his vote for healthcare and cap and trade. The panel also let Peters get away with completely answering the questions. The amnesty question comes to mind.  While Peters and Rocky agree on securing the border, they never made Peters answer the amnesty issue.

Rocky was toe to toe with Peters and often got to Peters  which showed in his red face  At one point he lost his composure and started yelling at Rocky that he doesn't know what he is talking about.  That is not how I want to see my congressman behave.

Rocky will be a superior statesman and he will work for us.

THE PETERS/PELOSI CONNECTION

THE TRUTH ABOUT GARY PETERS IS EMERGING

Suddenly there are more and more comments and blogs surfacing about Congressman Gary Peters.  While I have posted numerous myself on this blog, I am now posting links to several that are of great interest and don't just talk about his biggest bad vote, namely Obamacare, but this takes us into various other leftist areas.

ODDS AND ENDS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT

Here is an interesting article about what is really going on in Oakland County's Gary Peters' district.  It's really not all as rosy as he would like you to believe.  In his op-ed today in the Oakland Press he claims that we gained some 25,000 new jobs.  I say, no way, unemployment is as high as ever. Maybe he was counting the temporary census workers or a number of new government employees.  His lack of honesty and transparency leaves me wondering.

Here is a great blog just about that - nothing is happening. Construction has halted and jobs are lost.
http://aconservativeteacher.blogspot.com/2010/09/democrats-two-americas-private-sector.html

Here is another take on the recent namecalling by Gary Peteres, namely calling Rocky Raczkowski a "teabagger"  http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2010/09/027279.php

There was another article today in the Oakland Press that really upset me.  GOP activists are turning against one of the best candidates, (besides Rocky) Justin Amash, an Icaucus endorsed candidate who posted each and every one of his votes on Facebook for complete transparency.  Yes, he is a true conservative and votes accordingly, how can anyone be too conservative after what we have been observing the last 18 months.  This is what a fellow blogger wrote about this:  http://reclaimmichigan.blogspot.com/2010/09/justin-amash-obstructionist-or.html

GARY PETERS DISRESPECTS WOMEN AND SLAMS THE TEA PARTY

Today at an Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority candidate forum,  Gary Peters referred to Rocky as a "tea-bagger" and said the Tea-party members are close-minded and create a polarizing rhetoric.

Another attendee reported this: Gary Peters called Rocky a 'teabagger' at the Bloomfield Twp library this morning to a room of almost all women. This is a sexually obscene phrase--look at wikipedia if you're not familiar. According to my source, the look on Peters' campaign manger's face was priceless.

I take personal offense to this kind of behavior and statement.  Not only is Peters disrespectful to women but also to thousands in his district and millions around the state and country.  Peters attacks are becoming shameful and he lies about Rocky every chance he gets.

By calling Rocky a teabagger and insulting the Tea Party members, he is clearly showing that he is and always will be Pelosi's lapdog.  We do not and will not tolerate someone like him to represent us in Washington.

ROCKY LEADS IN FIRST GENERAL ELECTION POLL

Independent Polling Shows Incumbent Peters Trailing

Birmingham, MI - The Kelly Rossman Group, an Lansing based firm, issued tracking poll results in the 9th Congressional District today showing challenger Rocky Raczkowski up on Incumbent Congressman Gary Peters.
The automated poll conducted September 13th showed Raczkowski with 45 percent, Peters with 40.7 percent and 10.3 percent undecided. The other four percent were divided among the Independent, Libertarian and Green Party candidates.

"This poll reflects the fact that Gary Peters says one thing and does another. From Obamacare to the stimulus to tax cuts, Gary says one thing to middle class families in Oakland County and then goes to Washington DC and votes the other way," Raczkowski said. “Voters want a candidate with a rock solid commitment to cut taxes and stop spending so our economy can start creating jobs again."

Peters voted for the $787 billion failed federal stimulus package, last year's healthcare bill known publicly as “Obama-care”, the Cap and Trade bill which would have raised taxes and harmed the Detroit area's auto industry and has recently flip-flopped on his long standing opposition to extending the 2001 and 2003 'across the board' tax cuts which are due to expire at the end of the year.

Rocky Raczkowski is the Republican nominee for Michigan's 9th Congressional District. Raczkowski is a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves who was awarded the bronze star for meritorious service during combat operations, a successful businessman, and former Majority Floor Leader of the Michigan House of Representatives.

GARY PETERS CAN RUN, BUT HE CAN'T HIDE

Gary Peters, Congressman and incumbent for Michigan's 9th district won the '08 election on Obama's coattail.  He ran as a moderate democrat.  We gave him a chance.  As a former lottery commissioner and stockbroker we expected him to have some understanding of the economy and relate to his constituents.  But we were wrong.  As soon as he got into office he totally aligned himself with Nancy Pelosi and his party, voting 95% with them, notably the healthcare bill, cap and trade, Stimulus, etc.

He is now running from his party, switching hats and declaring himself a deficit hawk. But he does not have a leg to stand on.  Regarding the healthcare bill, this is what we will have to face:

The health-care overhaul enacted last spring won't significantly change national health spending over the next decade compared with projections before the law was passed according to the federal Medicare and Medicaid Services Center. The report casts fresh doubt on Democrats' argument that the health-care law would curb the sharp increase in costs over the long term. In fact in 2014, U.S. health spending is expected to rise 9.2%, up from the 6.6% projected before the law took effect.

This was the second setback this week for one of the party's biggest legislative achievements. The Wall St. Journal reported Wednesday that insurance companies have proposed additional rate increases ranging from 1% to 9% nationwide they they attribute specifically to new health-care coverage mandates.

Michigan Rep. Dave Camp, the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee, said the rate increases underscore why lawmakers should repeal the legislation and replace it with changes that make care more affordable.

Source: Wall St. Journal, 9/9/10

Henry Payne from the Detroit News has this to say about Peters:

Peters in trouble? Who knew?

The influential Cook Political Report has moved Democrat incumbent Gary Paters' race against Rocky Raczkowski from the safe "Likely Democrat" column to the less-safe "Lean Democrat" category.
Gee, ya think Cooksie?

Anyone with a pulse in Michigan has known first-termer Peters - a big-spending Democrat in purple Oakland County - has been in trouble for months now. Peters himself has telegraphed his panic as he has tried an extreme makeover of his political persona from Pelosi Democrat to Deficit Hawk.
It better take fast - internal GOP polls show Rocky up seven.

The National Federation of Independent Business gave Gary Peters an F grade. Here is why:

According to the National Federation of Independent Business, the small business lobby, Peters is batting a woeful 33 percent on bills that matter to small biz in Washington.
American Clean Energy and Security Act (cap and trade):
Small Business Position: No
Peter's Vote: Yes

Obamacare, aka, The Affordable Health Care for America Act (don'tcha just love the Orwellian titles?)
Small Business Position: No
Peter's Vote: Yes

On Credit Card Bill of Rights:
Small Business Position: Yes
Peter's Vote: Yes

Peters says he has a record of "working to make it easier for small business in Oakland county." His score as a Michigan senator in 2002? He got a NFIB score of 11 percent. That's an "F."
Ads are cheap talk. But in the classroom, Peters flunks Small Business 101.

He is now taking cheap shots at Rocky Raczkowski, his opponent. Rocky will go to Washington not as a politician, but as a representative of his district's constituents.  He will not be bought off by big money special interest groups, unions and lobbyists, unlike his opponent who stuffed his warchest with their big contributions amounting to over 2 million.  Consequently, Rocky's warchest is not that big.  If you can, donate to his campaign by going to his website at http://www.rockyworksforus.com/.  Any amount will help to defeat Gary Peters.

GARY PETERS ON THE ISSUES

Congressman Gary Peters, incumbent in the Michigan 9th district is repeatedly telling his constituents that he is an independent and moderate politician.  After almost 2 years of voting with his party, he is now trying to backpedal by telling us that he will help the small businessman to create jobs.
Besides voting on the 2000 page healthcare bill and the cap and trade bill, here are some more samples of how he really feels and how he voted.  His change of heart is coming a little too late.

Voted YES on $192B additional anti-recession stimulus spending. (Jul 2009)
$7 billion Increase in Fund balance appropriation (without fiscal year limitation).

With respect to the Unemployment Trust Fund and to the Black Lung Disability Trust Fund: Removes the FY2010 limitation as well as the specific dollar amount for such advances, replacing them with such appropriations as may be necessary.

Increases from $315 billion to $400 billion the maximum loan principal for FY2009 commitments to guarantee single family loans insured under the Mutual Mortgage Insurance Fund (MMIF).

Increases from $300 billion to $400 billion the limit on new Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA or Ginnie Mae) commitments to issue guarantees under the Mortgage-Backed Securities Loan Guarantee Program.

Proponent's argument to vote Yes:Rep. LEWIS (D, GA-5): This bipartisan bill will provide the necessary funds to keep important transportation projects operating in States around the country. The Highway Trust Fund will run out of funding by September. We must act, and we must act now.

Opponent's argument to vote No:Rep. CAMP (R, MI-4): [This interim spending is] needed because the Democrats' economic policy has resulted in record job loss, record deficits, and none of the job creation they promised. Democrats predicted unemployment would top out at 8% if the stimulus passed; instead, it's 9.5% and rising. In Michigan, it's above 15%. The Nation's public debt and unemployment, combined, has risen by a shocking 40% [because of] literally trillions of dollars in additional spending under the Democrats' stimulus, energy, and health plans.

We had a choice when it came to the stimulus last February. We could have chosen a better policy of stimulating private-sector growth creating twice the jobs at half the price. That was the Republican plan. Instead, Democrats insisted on their government focus plan, which has produced no jobs and a mountain of debt.

Voted YES on modifying bankruptcy rules to avoid mortgage foreclosures. (Mar 2009)

Voted YES on additional $825 billion for economic recovery package. (Jan 2009)
Congressional Summary:Supplemental appropriations for job preservation and creation, infrastructure investment, energy efficiency and science, assistance to the unemployed, and State and local fiscal stabilization, for fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2009.

Proponent's argument to vote Yes:Rep. DAVID OBEY (D, WI-7): This country is facing what most economists consider to be the most serious and the most dangerous economic situation in our lifetimes. This package today is an $825 billion package that does a variety of things to try to reinflate the economy:creating or saving at least 4 million jobs rebuilding our basic infrastructure
providing for job retraining for those workers who need to learn new skills
moving toward energy independence
improving our healthcare system so all Americans can have access to quality treatment
providing tax cuts to lessen the impact of this crisis on America's working families.

Opponent's argument to vote No:

Rep. JERRY LEWIS (R, CA-51): Most of us would agree that the recent $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) is an illustration of how good intentions don't always deliver desired results. When Congress spends too much too quickly, it doesn't think through the details and oversight becomes more difficult. The lesson learned from TARP was this: we cannot manage what we do not measure. We cannot afford to make the same mistake again.

Sen. THAD COCHRAN (R, MS): We are giving the executive branch immense latitude in the disbursement of the spending this bill contains. We are doing so without any documentation of how this spending will stimulate the economy. Normally, this kind of information would be contained in an administration budget. For items that have a short-term stimulative effect, most of us will feel comfortable debating their merits as an emergency measure. But there is a great deal of spending that is not immediately stimulative.

Voted YES on monitoring TARP funds to ensure more mortgage relief. (Jan 2009)

I only wanted to emphasize on the big money votes for now.

Gary Peters did wrong by his constituents and we need to educate our neighbors and friends in this district that he is not representing them.  He's received millions from special interest groups, unions and lobbyists.  These are the people he is representing.

Rocky Raczkowski has the interest of his constituents at heart. He listens to them, he feels like they do and he will be the representative we need in Washington.  Check out his website at http://www.rockyworksforus.com/ and then donate to his campaign  by clicking on the Donate button.

CONGRESSMAN PETERS, THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU CAMPAIGNED ON

Here are the changes we did not vote on, but they were voted on by the liberal Congress.  Congressman Peters voted 95% with Nancy Pelosi and his colleagues. The few times he didn't vote, that was a fix to get him off the hook and to make him look "good" and continue claiming that he is an independent.  Nancy has him right where she wants him to be.........

After you are done reading about the details of what has been voted on, your blood will start boiling.

Here is the tax scoop in detail:

In just six months, the largest tax hikes in the history of America will take effect. They will hit families and small businesses in three great waves on January 1, 2011:

First Wave: Expiration of 2001 and 2003 Tax Relief

In 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business owners, and families.

These will all expire on January 1, 2011:

Personal income tax rates will rise. The top income tax rate will rise from 35 to 39.6 percent (this is also the rate at which two-thirds of small business profits are taxed). The lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent. All the rates in between will also rise. Itemized deductions and personal exemptions will again phase out, which has the same mathematical effect as higher marginal tax rates. The full list of marginal rate hikes is below:

- The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%

- The 25% bracket rises to 28%

- The 28% bracket rises to 31%

- The 33% bracket rises to 36%

- The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%

Higher taxes on marriage and family. The “marriage penalty” (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return from the first dollar of income. The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child. The standard deduction will no longer be doubled for married couples relative to the single level. The dependent care and adoption tax credits will be cut.

The return of the Death Tax. This year, there is no death tax. For those dying on or after January 1 2011, there is a 55 percent top death tax rate on estates over $1 million. A person leaving behind two homes and a retirement account could easily pass along a death tax bill to their loved ones.

Higher tax rates on savers and investors. The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011. The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011. These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.

Second Wave: Obamacare
There are over twenty new or higher taxes in Obamacare. Several will first go into effect on January 1, 2011. They include:

The “Medicine Cabinet Tax” Thanks to Obamacare, Americans will no longer be able to use health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or health reimbursement (HRA) pre-tax dollars to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin).

The “Special Needs Kids Tax” This provision of Obamacare imposes a cap on flexible spending accounts (FSAs) of $2500 (Currently, there is no federal government limit). There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children. There are thousands of families with special needs children in the United States , and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education. Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington , D.C. (National Child Research Center) can easily exceed $14,000 per year. Under tax rules, FSA dollars can be used to pay for this type of special needs education.

The HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike. This provision of Obamacare increases the additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10 percent.

Third Wave: The Alternative Minimum Tax and Employer Tax Hikes

When Americans prepare to file their tax returns in January of 2011, they’ll be in for a nasty surprise—the AMT won’t be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired. The major items include:

The AMT will ensnare over 28 million families, up from 4 million last year. According to the left-leaning Tax Policy Center, Congress’ failure to index the AMT will lead to an explosion of AMT taxpaying families—rising from 4 million last year to 28.5 million. These families will have to calculate their tax burdens twice, and pay taxes at the higher level. The AMT was created in 1969 to ensnare a handful of taxpayers.

Small business expensing will be slashed and 50% expensing will disappear. Small businesses can normally expense (rather than slowly-deduct, or “depreciate”) equipment purchases up to $250,000. This will be cut all the way down to $25,000. Larger businesses can expense half of their purchases of equipment. In January of 2011, all of it will have to be “depreciated.”

Taxes will be raised on all types of businesses. There are literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place. The biggest is the loss of the “research and experimentation tax credit,” but there are many, many others. Combining high marginal tax rates with the loss of this tax relief will cost jobs.

Tax Benefits for Education and Teaching Reduced. The deduction for tuition and fees will not be available. Tax credits for education will be limited. Teachers will no longer be able to deduct classroom expenses. Coverdell Education Savings Accounts will be cut. Employer-provided educational assistance is curtailed. The student loan interest deduction will be disallowed for hundreds of thousands of families.

Charitable Contributions from IRAs no longer allowed. Under current law, a retired person with an IRA can contribute up to $100,000 per year directly to a charity from their IRA. This contribution also counts toward an annual “required minimum distribution.” This ability will no longer be there.

Now your insurance is INCOME on your W2's......

One of the surprises we'll find come next year, is what follows - - a little "surprise" that 99% of us had no idea was included in the "new and improved" healthcare legislation . . . the dupes, er, dopes, who backed this administration will be astonished!

Starting in 2011, (next year folks), your W-2 tax form sent by your employer will be increased to show the value of whatever health insurance you are given by the company. It does not matter if that's a private concern or governmental body of some sort. If you're retired? So what; your gross will go up by the amount of insurance you get.

You will be required to pay taxes on a large sum of money that you have never seen. Take your tax form you just finished and see what $15,000 or $20,000 additional gross does to your tax debt. That's what you'll pay next year. For many, it also puts you into a new higher bracket so it's even worse.

This is how the government is going to buy insurance for the 15% that don't have insurance and it's only part of the tax increases.

Not believing this??? Here is a research of the summaries.....

On page 25 of 29: TITLE IX REVENUE PROVISIONS- SUBTITLE A: REVENUE OFFSET PROVISIONS-(sec. 9001, as modified by sec. 10901) Sec.9002 "requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee the aggregate cost of applicable employer sponsored group health coverage that is excludable from the employees gross income."

Joan Pryde is the senior tax editor for the Kiplinger letters. Go to Kiplingers and read about 13 tax changes that could affect you. Number 3 is what is above.

Why am I sending you this? The same reason I hope you forward this to every single person in your address book.

People have the right to know the truth because an election is coming in November.

PORKULUS BILL II - WHAT IT REALLY MEANS

It forces states to take bailout dollars, bypassing Governors who refuse the money, and forbidding them from making necessary budget cuts. And Gary Peters voted for it.

Gives teachers unions roughly $50 - $100 million through trickle-down. And Gary Peters voted for it.

Will increase the deficit by $12.6 billion, according to the Congressional Budget Office. And Gary Peters voted for it.

Will result in a permanent tax increase of $9.7 billion for U.S. multinational companies - increasing the cost of doing business and risking jobs during the recession. (Interestingly, the revenue from these same tax increases have already been spent...twice, in two other pieces of legislation!) And Gary Peters voted for it.

The fact is the federal government cannot afford to bailout states who refuse to cut back spending. In case Nancy Pelosi forgot, the American people still fund the federal government. If states can't afford it, neither can the federal government. Bailing out states and extending failed stimulus programs only perpetuates states' reliance on the federal government. And Gary Peters voted for it.

What really upsets me is that Gary Peters just dumped another 26 Billion on mine and your grandkids debt that they'll never be able to pay off.

MICHIGAN LOBBYIST ALSO DIRECTOR FOR IRAN POLICY COMMITTEE

Welday, candidate for MI’s 9th Congressional district recently lost all my respect when he came out with the most pathetic smear campaign and ads against his opponent Rocky Raczkowski, http://www.rockyworksforus.com/. Rocky is a recent veteran, serving 3 tours oversees against the war on terror, he’s a businessman and served 3 terms in the MI state house.

After seeing the repulsive ads I decided to come out and let the world know what I have found out about Welday. Here it goes:

After hours of research I have come to the conclusion that Paul Welday is sympathetic to the MEK. While he thinks they should be removed from the US terror list, I believe fundamentally they are radical islamists. In a letter to the Detroit Free Press, Welday explains his reason for this: http://irandemocratic.org/FeaturedArticles/070905DetroitFreePress.html

As a board member of the IPC (Iran Policy Committee) he further shows his interest and support of the Middle East and MEK. Here is an article that supports this and that he’s a board member of the IPC. http://www.allbusiness.com/government/government-bodies-offices-government/11761697-1.html

In this article he is further pushing his agenda, along with Gen Vallely who previously endorsed Welday. They are of like minds, making the endorsement easy and not meaningful. http://www.analyst-network.com/article.php?art_id=1366

While he was chief of staff for Joe Knollenberg in 1998, Knollenberg received contributions from the Food for Oil organization : http://www.usefulwork.com/shark/archives/001865.html

It was reported that in Oct 2004 Welday spoke to a Cair group. While the author of this article is credible and his source not always so, I have to rely on the author for having verified the report. http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/2004/01/cair-accepted-as-mainstream

It is now said, that Cair is endorsing the building of a new Mosque at the 9/11 site. I would like to know if Welday is ok with that, too. http://marionalwaysrunin.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!4C50CAC721A0BA86!4477.entry

The founder of IPC is Raymond Tanter and his CV includes the CFR (akin to the Bilderbergs and other globalist groups) and the Woodrow Wilson Institute. http://www.rightweb.irc-online.org/profile/Tanter_Raymond With connections like that, it makes me wonder where Welday might fit in there.

The IPC work looks all fine and dandy on the surface, but, what they are trying to do is the same thing our government did back with the Ayatollah Komeni and look how well that worked out. America should not be trying to work with the “lesser of two evil” factions in foreign countries to manuever things the way we want them..

During his lobbying years for Knollenberg, the following occurred:

“U.S. State Dept To Splurge on Persian Media: Iran-Syria Operations Group
On February 15, 2006, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice asked Congress “to provide $75 million in emergency funding to step up pressure on the Iranian government.” If granted, the request would increase to $85 million the 2006 budget “to promote political change inside Iran,” up from $3.5 million last year. $50 million would be used to “significantly increase Farsi broadcasts into Iran, mainly satellite television broadcasting by the federal government and broadcasts of the U.S.-funded Radio Farda.” Another $5 million “will be aimed at reaching the Iranian public through the Internet and building independent Farsi television and radio stations.” $15 million “would go to Iranian labor groups, human rights activists and other groups, generally via … groups such as the National Endowment for Democracy,” Ewen MacAskill and Julian Borger reported February 16, 2006, in The Guardian (UK).” I’ve seen Condoleezza’s name linked thru some of the other Iranian-American groups also so will have to go back and check again. The circle keeps getting bigger and smaller at the same time. Here’s where I found this http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Iran

Just today I received a copy of a IRS form 990 which shows Welday as a Director for the IPC along with General Vallely and others you know of. The form shows no earnings to Welday, but indicates that he has workd for IPC 10 hours a week. This IRS form is from the year 2008.

I’m hoping that you agree with me that this is not what we are looking for in DC right now.

LOBBYIST-CANDIDATE SHOWS CONTRIBUTIONS FROM SPECIAL INTEREST

Who will the voters believe to be the conservative candidate? Who is looking to reap the benefits of a lobbyist in office?
Who is standing up for the voters in the 9th district and who is against them?
Paul Welday, lobbyist and businessman claims to be the conservative candidate. But when looking at the campaign finance reports, one wonders if he will really represent the voters in his district or will he be beholden to the many donors from whom he collected the majority of his contributions.
You can read and decide here for yourself.

Here are some interesting figures that show the difference between the campaigns

Andrew Raczkowski (R ) Paul Welday ®
Sector Total

Construction $1,000 vs $7,200
Energy/Nat Resource $2,300 vs $1,000
Finance/Insur/RealEst $3,000 vs $43,050
Health $2,050 vs $19,400
Lawyers & Lobbyists $1,800 vs $21,850
Transportation $1,500 vs $17,350
Misc Business $8,200 vs $11,364
Ideology/Single-Issue $29,048 vs $2,650
Other $15,050 vs $11,750

Rocky leads in contributions among the voters $29,048 to Welday's $2,650
Welday leads in the finance sectors $43,050 to Rocky's $3,950
Welday leads in the lawyers / lobbyists $21,850 to Rocky's $1,800.
All Info from Opensecrets.org.

This was just a small section of the entire finance reports to give the reader an idea what is happening here. The real conservative here is Rocky Raczkowski, the guy that wants to work for us here in Michigan's 9th Congressional District. Vote Rocky. www.rockyworksforus.com and visit here again as I will have more info coming.

Here are some more examples since my last report. While the columns are not properly lined, you will get the idea.  Rocky is the left column, Welday the right one.

Health Professionals
2050             vs  16,650
Retired
14,100          vs  10,850
Real Estate
250               vs 16,000
In spite of all those numbers, Rocky is way ahead of Welday due to the generous contributions from the people, in fact Rocky even had more contributions than Gary Peters in the 2nd quarter.

Don't let the lies, rumors and smear campaign from the Welday camp distract you. Rocky is staying focused on the issues, so am I, so should all of us. After all, we need a winner to send to Washington in November.
